Here are some features I would like to see included in future versions of Dota. Feel free to add your own ideas below.

1. The courier should have a “Go back to base” hotkey that returns it to the healing area of your base. Too often players will negligently leave the courier in a useless spot after using it, thwarting teammates who need to use the chicken quickly and cannot easily find it.
2. “Eyes in the Forest” from the Treant Protector hero should give a small amount of gold when they are killed by enemies, similar to the Weaver’s Watchers and the Beastmaster’s Crow. Eyes are arguably a better candidate for money reward than these other observation entities since they actually require an investment of money (Tangos) or mana (Split Earth, Purge, etc.) to destroy, rather than just an attack.
3. Couriers should be sold at the shops in the outer lanes. Couriers are often forgotten in open league games, to the demise of a team’s early game development. If they were sold at the side shops, this problem could be avoided. Another solution to this problem would be to have each team automatically own a team-shared courier at the start of the game.
