The DXD 2on2 tournament (All Pick/Duplicate Mode/Only Mid) displays some interesting trends. KOTL is the most popular hero, getting picked by 19% of teams in Round 1. Some apparent picking strategies are:

• Super-broken combos (KOTL Fireball + Alchemist Stun)
• Classic laning heroes (Sand King + Leshrac stun combo)
• Creep deny spells (Lich [Dark Ritual], Enigma [Spawn Eidelons])
• Good solo heroes (Potm, Viper, etc.)
• Nuking teams (Tinker, Lion, Lich, etc.)
• Push teams (KOTL + Death Prophet)
• Jungle heroes (Enchantress)
