Spells

Volatile Pod

Nymphora spawns a Volatile Pod at a target location. The pod bursts after a brief delay, damaging enemies and healing allies in the area.

Activation
After a 2.5 second delay, deals Magic damage to enemies and heals allies in radius for 90 / 180 / 270 / 360.

Cast Range – 750

Radius – 300

Mana Cost – 110/130/150/160

Cooldown – 15 seconds

Volatile Pod is Nymphora’s only nuke, however it also heals allies in the AOE so make sure you place it close to where a fight is happening, or close to where an ally is running.  It has a 2.5 second delay so it is best used after Nymphora’s Zeal, or another disablers stun in order to be most effective when ganking.

===================================================================================================

Grace of the Nymph

Nymphora blesses an allied target with her grace, giving them back Mana.

Activation
Restores 75 / 150 / 225 / 300 Mana to the target

Cast Range – 900

Mana Cost – 40/55/70/85

Cooldown – 19/18/17/16 seconds

Not so great at early levels but once it’s level 3/4 when you are getting over 150 mana back in return is when it starts to pay off.  Remember that you do not only have to target yourself with this spell, if a hero nearby needs mana in order to cast a spell do not hesitate to replenish their mana, especially during later stages of the game when you have enough mana regen that you do not need to use this spell on yourself.

===================================================================================================

Nymphora’s Zeal

Shoots forth a wisp to damage and stun enemies in a line. Each enemy hit is stunned and damaged.
Activation
Launches a projectile that impacts targets it touches in a 1200 unit line, stunning for 0.75 / 1.0 / 1.25 / 1.5 second(s), and dealing 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 Magic damage to them, then the projectile returns back to self. Units can be impacted twice, once when the projectile is being launched and once when it is returning.
Nymphora’s Zeal Effects
Attack Speed Per Charge 0.1 / 0.1 / 0.2 / 0.2
Movement Speed Per Charge 0.01 / 0.02 / 0.03 / 0.04
Cast Range – 1200
Mana Cost – 100/120/140/160
Cooldown – 13 seconds

Nymphora’s only disable, shoots out a projectile in a line AOE that returns to her and any unit caught in it is stunned for a duration while giving Nymphora a slight movement and attack speed buff.  Useful for initiation on heroes in a gank or chasing heroes down.  It is best used to set up Volatile Pod if you do not have another disabler in your lane that will allow for an easier set-up.
===================================================================================================
Teleport
Nymphora channels the power of the forest, connecting with all living things in it. Through this power she is able to teleport herself and, at higher levels, some nearby allies to a target destination of her choosing.
Activation
After channel time, teleports self and 1 / 2 / 3 random allied heroes in radius around self to target location.

Target location is revealed to enemy units for duration of channel.

This skill cannot be used within 2500 units of the enemy main base structure.
This ability can be boosted by Staff of the Master.

Staff Effect: Adds the spell Nymph’s Call. Allows Nymphora to Teleport a friendly hero to her location after {5.5/4.5/3.5} second channel time.

Range – 999,999
Mana Cost – 90/150/210
Cooldown – 60 seconds
tp
This little useful spell is helpful for helping allies escape, teleporting around to gank & counter gank and bringing allies who do not have Post-Haste or a TP to a place where they are useful.  However if you are teleporting to gank an enemy hero be careful where you place your teleport, as the enemies can see the marker as well and your secluded spot could become overrun with enemies and you become dead before the fight begins at all.

Item Recommendations

Or

This is entirely based on your farming capabilities.  Marcher’s are useful if you know that you are not going to be farming that much and making your money off ganking.  If you are able to farm it however Post-Haste would give you two teleports, effectively allowing you to gank a lot more on different sides of the maps without having to walk to either side.

Totem of Kuldra is a great disable and allows your mana to regenerate enough that you will not need to case Grace of the Nymph on yourself, allowing you to help allies who do not necessarily have the mana regeneration to use their spells, or just on those who need it.  It also brings to the table another disable for your team to use on an enemy hero.

If you can micro well, Puzzlebox is a great addition to any team.  It allows you to mana-burn a unit, have extra damage via the minions and if you are lucky enough to have one die to a low health unit, it has the possibility of damaging that unit and potentially killing it

Frostfield Plate is also a good item on Nymph, it gives her much needed armor, as well as adds an aura that slows enemy attack speed.  It also has an active ability that shoots out an AOE around you that slows enemies when it hits them

===================================================================================================

Early Game

If you are babysitting a carry make sure you use Volatile Pod on your creeps only, that way you ensure that your ally has an easier time harassing.  Make sure to harass enemy units that step up to harass your carry, or step up to CS.  If you are in a lane with a disabler it is best you use Volatile Pod before they disable, that way there is a better chance of the enemy being in Volatile Pod’s AOE.  If necessary you may have to initiate with Nymphora’s Zeal, however you should still be placing Volatile Pod down first.  Once you hit 6 start looking for potential ganks in the other lanes to help them out, even if they do not need it.  This is especially important if you are babysitting a carry, as they now get more XP with you gone.

Middle Game

By now you should be constantly ganking, in major team fights make sure you place Volatile Pod in a proper position, this means you may have to wait a few seconds before placing it in order to make sure it does the most damage, or heals the most.  If you have enough mana regeneration that you will not always be casting Grace of the Nymph on yourself make sure to replenish your allies mana, this way they can contribute more to ganks other then auto-attacking a unit.  Keep ganking and supporting your carry hero, the better they farm the better so if necessary buy Ward of Sights so they can see potential gankers heading their way, also allowing your team to counter gank effectively, as well as gank effectively.

Late Game

During the late game phase you should just be planting down all your spells as much as you can as fast as you can.  If you have a Totem of Kuldra make sure you disable the enemy hero which is most important to their team.  This does not always mean a carry hero, it could be a hero like Tempest, Behemoth, Magmus who have huge AOE potential.  Keep up the ganks and make sure to ward Kongor if it isn’t dead, a lot of games have been lost because of team fights at Kongor gone wrong.  If they put an emphasis on obtaining aegis but lose a major team fight in the process then you have a huge potential to push when your team wins that fight.  Keep ganking and supporting and by all means do NOT farm.  It has gotten to the point in the game where unless you are a very short gold amount to a huge item that will benefit your team, you are better off roaming with your team to gank the enemy heroes or pushing.

People seem to feed a lot with this hero, so what about Fortified Bracelets or Steamboots early for more hp? I definitely like Puzzlebox and Kuldra on this hero which could really make it more aggressive. I think Astrolabe and/or Nome’s Wisdom could also be good if you want to go pure support. Post Haste may be too expensive for a supporting hero and I dunno about Frostfield since you get a lot more out of the armor on tankier heroes. I’m pretty terrible at this hero so I just go Thunderclaw which is super fun when you get the attack speed boost from your stun.

fuk u pub u saw me rape with u in lane, this isn’t a support hero you go rambo resurrected with like plague rider/ophelia, she’s better off staying a bit back for the heal/disable & repleneshing mana, people just dunno hao2play

    Nymphora
    - Fixed her correctly having effects bones (oops…)
    - Increased base strength by 2
    - Base damage changed from 38-49 to 45-52
    - Cast range of Pod increased to 750
    - Nymphora’s Zeal now returns to her as she runs (Think Maliken’s Sword)
    - She gains charges for attackspeed/movespeed as Nymphora’s Zeal hits enemies, not on it’s death
    - Grace of the Nymph now restores the mana over 4 seconds instead of instantly. Mana return dispels on damage

nymphora just got hulked up son

pro hero, lane with thunder, behe or pebbles, keep their mana topped up and spam till they leave. this combined with creep pulling leaves them stuck to their tower, with the creeps all the way by ur tower. kept a valkyrie+corrupted combo at level 4 while me and pebbles we level 9 and 11. had post haste by 9mins.

a battle nymph can squeeze 20attacks into 1 second, if u have charged hammer, you make thunderbringer look like a sparkler. also the cooldown buffs you get from bloodstone make you a mobile fountain. one of the funest heroes to get level 4 riftshards and a doom bringer on.

not heavily item dependen t at all or support though.

  • jcsantos000 says:

at early game u would lack mana regen if u get zeal and pod only. I max pod first and get zeal and grace. Also i get plated greaves astroblade. after getting those items i would get thunderclaw for ganking purposes and it goes well with your zeal besides u have 2 heals y not get a combative item. After thunderclaw barrier idol is my late game item. And if the game still continue i get sheepstick

Gotta say that prefer the build:
Enhanced marchers – Always good for running..
Harkons blade – Makes for easy ganks and good manareg. Nobody really expects Nymp to do that much damage. (Microing the on/off on it is necessecary on early levels since it eats mana really quickly.)
    Sacrifical stone or Nullstone

And i guess a frostfield plate if you can afford it wich is easy with nymph. – Manareg+Dmg+Armor.

Also using ulti + homecoming stone/Teleportboots are awesome for taking out towers if your team is doing bad and are pushed back.

I’d prefer Nymphora as a carry. Although her skills make her seem as a support, she is a very scary carry. Once you have thunderclaw/charged hammer, drop a pod stun and attack. You could easily take out 50%-75% of the enemy’s life. Final items would be Ghost Marchers, charged hammer, savage mace, bruitalizer, wingbow and riftshards 4. Got a score of 36-2-19 with her with those items.

  • NIDM says:

That build above is stupid and the guy is probably a 1300 who thinks he knows how to play. Early game ring and runes. Build marchers or ph so you can tele in push a lane then tele out. Also barbed armor because you do get focused a lot. Level up your heal at 4 9 10 because you are support and if you get the mana and stun first you can dominate a lane with a tank. That’s all that needs to be said really. Mid and late game get croud control items

  • Lawl says:

totally wrong guide if you wanna be pro with this hero.

  • Manon says:

The items recommendations are plain stupid. Do you want to make her a carry? Really??

She is not. She is either an imba ganker or an imba support. In each case, the items you suggested are way too expensive for her, as you shouldn’t be farming with her.

  • General_Fei says:

Staff has got to be required for games over 35 minutes – she can save heroes during pushes, absolutely killer for the other team.

  • Cam says:

I prefer opening 2 set of runes 1 +3 int 4 minor totem farm till boots arc ring by lvl 6 start owning the lane I gi pod first over stun since they combo and it’s mire dage and heals I like then to get steamboots and mech then vlads from focus fire and build toward sheep stick late game bottle if solo
    Mid

  • Cam says:

    Not valds vanguard sorry
