• 15 second rule: buy the wrong thing and you have 15 seconds to sell it back for full price.
• There is a hotkey (default: B) to open the shop menu/stash from anywhere.  To close the shop menu you can hit B again or esc.
• To see only recipes in the shop (saves you extra clicking), hold ctrl.
• To move items immediately from your stash to your hero/courier (or vice versa), hold ctrl and right click the item (saves you having to drag it to the inventory).
• You can sell items from anywhere on the map; just right click the item and drop it onto a shop.
• Every section of the shop and individual item has hotkey associated with it (displayed on the icon) that you can use to quickly buy an item.  For example if you are running to the side shop to escape a gank, just hit Q as soon as you are in buying range and you will quickly purchase a Homecoming Stone that you can use to teleport out.
