Dota can’t fend off newcomers Hon and Lol anymore, who are holding pace traffic-wise with the original.  Can Dota hold onto its hardcore player base with continued map updates that add new heroes and items, or will it fade into oblivion as new games like Starcraft 2 Beta claim their chunk of the market?  League of Legends has been growing rapidly in recent months, likely due in part to its massive advertising spree.  Will Heroes of Newerth get a big boost when it goes into open beta?  Only time will tell, as the popularity contest continues!
