Ex #1 League of Legends player Chu dumps all over League of Legends
So we all had our fun with LoL. Daggius, myself and Moon tried it for a bit but it’s boring. It has its good parts, but the truth is, the game is too passive, bad play isn’t punished harsh enough to make it more enjoyable (HoN will straight bury you if you’re trash support and 2 hit death isn’t out of the question), Its metagame is really boring (no denying really promotes excessive farming). Plus the whole instant blink thing is really stupid. LoL players tend not to believe that, and nerds like Chaox still live in a world of LoL dominance from HoN pubdon.
So lets see what the ex-ranked number one player in LoL has to say about League of Legends:
seriously though I’m glad I got to try League of Bads, now all my arguments vs LoL will be valid. Well made casual game, donkeyshit competitive game. There is only one way this game can be played at top level and that is passive farm-lane-entire-game, with its metagame heavily reliant on a stupid free blink that probably plagued that game since the beginning of time.
So Chu said what everyone knows and denies.
Anyway, blink is a very powerful skill that is to be earned, not given to you. ANY chance of a gank metagame is ruined by giving out blink. The safer a player is, the more he or she is prompted to farm. Do you farm when you have no wards or do you play more passive? Exactly. That was my biggest bone to pick with LoL is that it allows players to escape too easily.
Chu basically wrecked nerds’ faces all the way to the VERY top of the Lol scene and was like “this game is trash and here is why.” Lets see how LoL fans rationalize this.

Flash is a serious problem, nearly 90% of the community has said that from day one and have been pleading for its removal.
But just because it’s competitor has a problem doesn’t make HoN a good game. Far from it. It’s pretty much just a steaming pile of shit.
Ever read a book? Then seen a movie come out of it? People will always like the book better. It’s a human instinct to identify with what they started with. Which is why, of the pro players that “left” LoL for HoN all said HoN was crap and came back. Yet of the HoN players who quit to try LoL, a decent number of them stayed with that decision.
LoL is the better game, but people who played HoN first are blinded by a personal bias. Just like the bias that is going to draw the majority of the HoN fanbase to DotA2 when it comes out, because they were raised on the original.

Also, you guys bashing HoN players aren’t making the rest of the LoL community seem any better.
Both are games based on 5v5 format on a 3-lane setup with creep waves standing for the majority of the income of gold and XP, that you need to get more skills available. Both have as main objective to push at least one lane all they way through 2-3 towers, a set of unit-producing buildings which on destruction upgrades the opposing teams minion into the “throne”. This however is not the only option since you get gold and XP from killing heroes and neutral creeps. In one of the games you get a temporary non-transferable upgrade from one neutral creep, the other games grant you temporary transferable upgrades from a small group of creeps. The differences isn’t huge!
The MOBA genre has other games like Bloodline Champions which doesn’t rely on farm or upgrading skills – everything is there from the beginning. That’s a different type of game within the genre.
LoL is a dota clone, with a twist but yet a clone.
The main mode of TF2 is Gold Rush, the weapons are achieved through random loot.
MW2 had no real main mode, but we can say it’s domination. It’s still present in TF2 but not really a focus. MW2 have perks and kill-streak rewards. The only thing in common really is the first-person perspective.
D2 has been out for years, bro. Maybe D3 will kill it, honestly, I doubt it considering they are two very different games.

People in the lol community are probably getting tired of the good ol’ hon boys always raging and screaming trying to convince themselves about how superior their game is due to it being more like dota (clone much). Listen hon people:
Denying sucks. It truly, really does. It was created from a programmingflaw in wc3 and sticking with it sucks. No one likes it. It primarily encourages ranged on lanes and is only about babysitting, the guy writes about passive-lane play. Yeah… cuz melee can really do much in the beginning of the game in hon.
You complain about flash… Cuz no one get blink dagger. Ofc not. You made Pudge able to blink ffs, “Yeah here I come farting everything to death, blink in – eat.”…. “If not dead, hook – dead”. Pro. That’s spelled pro, I mean it.
We don’t have 5 sec CCs, with characters as Atropos sleeping one and ulting another one. Imo managing what you got with lesser cc means that characters are more evened out, not just instapicking earthshaker and raping a whole team.
Seriously hon boys fucking read up, try the game at some real level instead for just screaming about bullshit while trying out normal games at level 1. Lol has its flaws, granted but they are not nearly as big as you try to make them sound. And hon being perfect? No.
Some characters are way too op in hon and instead for nerfing, they just create new ones, always creating a gap between some chars. So stop bashing and learn to see that lol is a lot more about teamfights, synchronizing buffs/dragons and not only about picking up a invis rune and going to gank with 5 sec ccs.
Yes melee can do a lot in the beginning of the game, “babysitting” is there because there is always a threat from the opposing team that they can gank the shit out of your lanes from the first level. And if you had any clue you would know that “babysitting” isn’t the only viable strategy in HoN. From what I’ve seen in LoL it’s basically 1v1v1+one dude in the jungle and the last one just jerking off in the corner.
LoL was built for someone like hans2 from the old DoTA forums..just sit around and farm all day, sorry but it is true.
LoL has more players because DoTA had more EM players, LoL is 10X easier and not much roaming required since flash for everyone
