Hon Volunteers jump ship
Buncha kids went the way of Warchamp7 and took off. They ranged from small son GMs to big champions like ElementUser who would go around fixing sloppy game bugs. In classic Hon forum style, their farewell was of course instantly hard deleted by infamous hentai enthusiast iGuy.
These volunteers were apparently tired of: S2s banning ppl without good reason and other abuse of power, S2 treating volunteers like disposable diapers, and the usual S2 hipocracy and cash-grabbing instead of aiming at long term success, etc. Where have we heard this shit before?
Everyone pretty much seems to agree S2 is steering Hon straight towards the dumpster. Get it together small sons. Without volunteers who will leak content and process my trolly Report A Player forms? Last game I let some kid borrow my bottle for 20 mins then reported him for item stealing even tho it was consensual. Kid got banned and I wasn’t even mad trollface.jpg get good small timer.

elementuser already gave a reason for quitting. it had nothing to do with s2 he just had irl stuff to do and was too busy for volunteer work.
He stated he left for TWO reasons. ONE being IRL stuff to do (uni degree). The SECOND REASON BEING S2′S DIRECTION OF HoN.

First off, HoN is currently balanced like Warcraft 3 Hero Arena, and not much thought is given to re-balancing it. This is known.
Valve, Blizzard and other game developers realize having a solid track record is prime to building credibility for future game releases. S2 has proven they get a mildly successful game, and instead of building on the goodwill of the players, they simply drop the ball. Once HoN stops being profitable, quote me on this, the game will be gone.
Instead of putting thought into HoN, sustaining HoN and working on HoN’s future, the game has degenerated into a quick cash grab.
Greed didn’t work at the game’s release – LoL promptly crushed HoN. Greed won’t work in the end. Greed and lack of stable management past some sociopathic porno nerd isn’t leading this company or game anywhere. There aren’t too many instances in history where greed has ended well; in fact, there aren’t any.
Of course, you can get mad at the development team, the volunteers but the moment Malkien gets any sense of how to properly manage past being a clueless dick, these kids just fall in line on what they’re told to do.
