New hero Nomad, umad? Rundown of skills
I can see it now, all the fucking time people screaming UMAD UMAD UMAD playing as the new hero Nomad.
- Sandstorm: When Sandstorm is activated, the Nomad conjures a whirling cyclone of dust around him that envelops himself and nearby allies in a shroud of invisibility. In addition, they receive a significant movement speed bonus, while enemies within the sandstorm lose movement speed. This duality allows for Sandstorm to be a very useful tool for both chasing and escaping. An ally in need can be hidden from opponents and escorted to safety, or the skill may be used to initiate upon the opposing team. Because the enemy cannot see under the Sandstorm, they never know how many of you are approaching.
- Mirage Strike: Leveling up Mirage Strike grants two sub-abilities: True Strike and Mirage Strike. True Strike will cause the Nomad to charge recklessly at an opponent, dealing high physical damage and increasing his attack speed. Mirage Strike will cause the Nomad to become invisible and send an illusion to perform the charge in his stead. Proper use and a mixture of True Strike and Mirage Strike is what will keep your opponents on their toes. By never allowing them the luxury of knowing whether you’re really charging at them, you can take the opportunity to deal extra damage.
- Wanderer: The Nomad’s passive ability charges his sword with the sand around him as he moves. With each 100 distance traveled, his next attack gains a significant boost to attack damage. This ability allows him to deal very high damage when coupled with Mirage and True Strike. It also means that when he chases an opponent, he is constantly charging up Wanderer for his next attack.
- Edge Counter (Ultimate): Edge Counter is the Nomad’s greatest asset in a large-scale battle, as it can often be the difference between winning or losing an encounter. When activated, Edge Counter puts the Nomad in a one-second state of stasis. If he is attacked, damaged, or spell casted upon by an enemy hero during this state, the Nomad shrugs the attack off and counters his assailant with a massive wave of sand, dealing high magic damage and stunning anyone in its wake. His stunned opponents then become vulnerable to a volley of attacks from True Strike.

Weed Field
Myrmidon calls forth a line of seaweed from the ground to entangle and bind his enemies.

Weeded Effect
Revealed
125 Magic damage per second
Type – Magic
Range – 1000
Mana Cost – 90/100/110/120
Cooldown – 20 seconds
Video to come
Throws out a line nuke that disables a unit after a 1 second delay, think of Jakiro’s Ice Path from DoTA. Pretty useful nuke and easy to hit.
===================================================================================================

Magic Carp
Myrmidon unleashes his underwater companion on his enemies! The magical carp will chase down Myrmidon’s unfortunate target, impacting them with tremendous force and even stunning unprepared foes.
Activation
Deals 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 Magic damage to target enemy unit. If the target is moving at the time of impact, it is stunned for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 seconds.
Type – Magic
Range – 750
Mana Cost – 85/95/105/115
Cooldown – 10 secods
Video to come
Good spell, its a disable either way because it forces a hero to stand still, or it stuns them if they run.
===================================================================================================

Waveform
Myrmidon manifests the sea’s rage and turns into water, surging forward with incredible speed and slowing everything in his path.
Surges to target location, using pathing. Enemies that Myrmidon passes through with Wave Form have Splashed applied to them for 3 seconds.
Armor: -1 / -2 / -3 / -4
15 / 25 / 35 / 45% Movement Slow
Movement Slowed by 15 / 25 / 35 / 45%.
Type – Magic
Range – 1000
Mana Cost – 70/75/80/85
Cooldown – 24/20/16/12 seconds
Video to come
Morphling’s waveform without the damage but it slows the enemies and -magic armor. Pretty good when ulted since it puts you next to the enemy when used properly
===================================================================================================

Forced Evolution
Myrmidon can transform himself at will into a terrifying monstrosity, capable of besting even the hardiest warriors in melee combat.
Applies Evolved to self for 15 seconds. Attacks while Evolved apply Waterlogged to the target for 3 seconds.
*Attacks at melee range
*Attacks deal 125 / 175 / 225 Magic damage instead of normal Physical damage to organic, non-Magic Immune units.
Waterlogged Effects
15 / 25 / 35% Movement Slow
Mana Cost – 100/150/200
Cooldown – 60 seconds

Not sure how I feel about this skill since it statics your damage to this ability so any +damage items are useless….

Item Recommendations

With the 2 disables and the slow, Puzzlebox minions have a lot of chances to attack the enemy.

Hex adds another disable to Myrmidons already awesome arsenal.

Frostfield plate adds another slow to Myrmidons arsenal of disables, nuke damage as well as EHP via armor
===================================================================================================
Early Game
Myrmidon should be played aggressively with his slow and dual disable, throw in any other hero that has a nuke or disable in his lane and its a huge aggressive harassing lane with potential kills every time an initiation is done properly. Grab an early chalice/bottle for regeneration to spam your abilities in lane which are decently low mana cost.
Middle Game
Myrmidon plays to the role of ganker due to his skillset, wards and homecoming stones are a necessity for Myrmidon to take off for vision and able to gank/counter gank. Roll around with a few heroes since most likely the enemies will be noticing more often that you are MIA from the mini-map after a few well-placed ganks, for team fights try to lineup your waveform and weed field so that it hits multiple heroes.
Late Game
By now you should be roaming with the team and unloading spells in every teamfight, focusing the ideal enemy hero whether its an intiator or a carry or a huge CC style hero. There’s really nothing more that could be said other then don’t get picked off due to your heroes disables and they are huge in teamfights if executed properly.
